We cared for this land long before we opened our doors to guests. Now we want to share it with you.

The farm is our home.

We are Urtza Sarrionandia, Edurtzeta Atutxa and Iñaki Sarrionandia, the family behind Uxarbeiti Baserria. Our story began with Edurtzeta and Iñaki in the 1980s; with Urtza we continued that work and expanded our farm in 2008 and again in 2013.

Today we work across two farmhouses: Uxarbeiti and Iauribarrigoikoan Behekoa. Between Urkiola and Gorbeia, in the heart of the Basque Country, we bring together farming and our own way of welcoming you.

Domo Gorbeia and Urkiola Etxea are our two ways of welcoming you. Two different stays within the same complex, with the Arratia landscape in common.

1980s

We start our family farm with Edurtzeta and Iñaki.

2008

With Urtza, we expand and continue our family’s work.

2013

We expand our farm again and begin another chapter together.

Today

We grow, make our own produce and welcome you to our two stays.

FROM OUR LAND

Land that keeps on giving.

We grow seasonal fruit and vegetables, make our own preserves and care for our hens. Our produce goes to BBK fairs; our eggs reach shops in Amorebieta and the Arratia valley.

A story recognised at fairs across Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa, including Deba, Elgoibar and BBK.
